Volunteer with Molly’s Angels

Make a meaningful difference, one connection at a time

At Molly’s Angels, we believe that small acts of kindness create powerful change. Our volunteers help older adults in Napa and Solano Counties stay connected, independent, and supported, whether it’s through a ride to a medical appointment, a friendly phone call, or a simple birthday card.

Why Volunteer with Us?

Volunteers often tell us the same thing:

“It’s the relationships that matter most.”

When you volunteer with Molly’s Angels, you’ll experience:

  • Flexible opportunities that fit your schedule

  • Meaningful one-on-one connections with older adults

  • A supportive, responsive staff team

  • A welcoming volunteer community

  • Fun appreciation events (including our annual bowling celebration!)

Many of our volunteers stay for years because the impact goes both ways.

Ways to Get Involved

Transportation Volunteers

Help older adults get where they need to go safely and reliably.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive clients to medical appointments and community activities

  • Provide occasional grocery or prescription pickups

  • Help reduce isolation and support independence

What to expect:

  • Choose rides that fit your schedule

  • Most rides are scheduled at least one week in advance

  • Use your own vehicle (gas incentives available!)

Care Call Volunteers

Offer connection and companionship right from your home.

What you’ll do:

  • Make weekly friendly phone calls to older adults

  • Build genuine, ongoing relationships

Time commitment:

  • As little as 30 minutes per week per client

  • Many volunteers choose 2–5 clients

Bonus: No commute required! Just a phone and a kind heart.

Event Volunteers

Help bring our community together.

  • Support special events like our holiday luncheon

  • Assist with outreach and fundraising activities

  • Perfect for individuals or groups looking for one-time volunteer opportunities

  • Provide critical, short-notice support to clients in need

Birthday Card Volunteers

Spread joy one card at a time.

  • Create and donate handmade birthday cards

  • Participate individually or as part of a group

We even host card-making sessions at our Napa office and can provide supplies!

Perfect for:

  • Corporate teams

  • School clubs

  • Faith groups

  • Service organizations like Rotary and Soroptimists

It’s creative, social, and incredibly meaningful.

What You’ll Need

To ensure the safety and quality of our programs, volunteers are required to:

  • Pass a background check (every two years)

  • Provide a valid California ID or license

  • Complete a brief onboarding process

  • Attend training (for ongoing roles)

  • Carry auto insurance (for driving roles)

Note: Birthday card makers are exempt from these requirements.

Flexible Commitment,
Lasting Impact

There’s no strict minimum, but we hope you’ll stay at least six months to build meaningful connections. Many volunteers stay for five years or more.
