Dedicated to helping those in
need in Napa County,
California

Michael Muir, John Muir's great-grandson is the founder and director of  a wonderful
organization called Access Adventure which is a program of the Solano Land Trust which
offers people with mobility challenges the opportunity to get outdoors, exploring the
wilderness and preserved open space lands.  This organization is headquartered at the 2,070
acre Rush Ranch in Solano county.  We support this organization wholeheartedly.

Mr. Muir has close family connections here in the Napa Valley,  and would love to bring his
unique services here.  He leads multi-day wilderness experiences in remote, scenic areas
throughout California, offering people with disabilities the chance to go any where horses can
carry them.  The program uses Thornlea carriages with a unique, solar-powered, battery
operated wheelchair lift that can accommodate up to 500 pounds.  Muir, who himself has
lived with multiple sclerosis since the young age of 15, has led adventures through the Lost
Coast in Humboldt County, over the Fandango Pass in Modoc County, on a spectacular rail
to trail conversion in Lassen County, the Los Padres National Forest and the high Sierras.

Please come out to the ranch which is located on Grisley Island Road in Suisun.  Their
website i
s www.access-adventure.org and will give you a list of all the upcoming events.
